Introduction
Gerontology is defined as the study of the aging processes and individuals as they grow from middle age through later life. It is a multidisciplinary field, integrating information from several separate areas of study. Biology, sociology, and psychology are the primary areas, along with other areas of study such as public policy, humanities, business, economics, demography, health, and health care. This guide serves as a gateway to finding information relevant to the academic research of gerontology. All online resources selected are available in the USC libraries and/or accessible through the USC Electronic Resources. Unless a specific USC library location is indicated, all print resources referred in this guide are housed in the Gerontology Library.
